Material Handler/Saw Operator


Responsibilities:
  • Sets up and operates saws to cut metal stock to dimensions.  Assists with shipping and receiving duties and supports production by maintaining all necessary parts, part containers, and chip hoppers.  Manages storage and movement of raw materials, finished goods, and scrap.
Requirements:
  • Reads saw instructions and any special specifications such as material type, size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
  • Obtains and transfers stock to machine, manually or with crane or fork truck.
  • Installs saw blades and sets cutting speeds and controls dimensions for specified operation.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.
  • Operate tube bender and drill press, as required.
  • Load and unload trucks using fork truck or crane.
  • Manage scrap and chip hoppers.
  • Verifies conformance of sawed and bent parts to specifications using measuring instruments.
  • Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve sawing, tube bending, or drill press problems.
  • Must be a team player.
Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of material handling experience, saw experience preferred.
  • Fork-lift experience is a plus.

CNC Machinist


Responsibilities:
  • Operates conventional, special purpose, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to machine metallic and nonmetallic parts applying knowledge of machine shop theory, procedures, and shop mathematics.
Requirements:
  • Read and comprehend drawings, work instructions, and any special specifications to effectively and safely machine part.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.
  • Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
  • Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
  • Must be a team player.
Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of machining experience, set-up experience preferred.
  • Ability to read prints.

General Labor – Fabrication/Welding Department


Responsibilities:
  • Assist Fabrication, Weld and Assembly with various tasks including, but not limited to, operating machine tools such as overhead crane, brakes, shears, saws, presses, ironworkers, and plasma machines to cut, bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes department.
  • Assist in the assembly of structural metal products, such as the framework for machinery according to job order and blueprints.
Requirements:
  • Fits and assembles parts into sub-assemblies using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as reading tape measures, using angle protractors.
  • Perform deburring and hand finishing of workpieces, as required.
  • Perform special machine assembly and runoff, as required.
  • May fabricate and assemble sheet metal products.
  • Material handling and inventory counts as needed.
  • General area organization and clean-up.
  • Must be a team player.

  • High school diploma or GED.

Welder


Responsibilities:
  • Sets up and operates mig, tig, and stick welders applying knowledge of mechanics, metal properties, and shop mathematics. Solves problems relative to materials, work-holding arrangements, welder settings, product specifications, and welding methods. Assembles structural metal products, such as the framework for machinery according to job order.
Requirements:
  • Analyzes written specifications, and verbal instructions to plan, layout, and determine the sequence of operations.
  • Develops layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.
  • Set ups and operates welders to weld workpieces to specifications and verify conformance of parts using precision measuring instruments such as squares, scales, and measuring tapes.
  • Perform all quality inspections.
  • Fits and assembles parts into sub-assemblies using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Perform all deburring and hand finishing of workpieces, as required.
  • Perform special machine assembly and runoff, as required.
  • May fabricate and assemble sheet metal products.
  • May set-up and operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops, such as press brake, shear, ironworker, and plasma burner.
  • Confers with Fabrication Supervisor to resolve welding or assembly problems.
  • Must be a team player.
Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of welding experience.
