A New CNC for Low-Volume Production

PR Machine Works has added a Mori Seiki DuraVertical 5080 Machining Center to enhance our low-volume machining services. Our ability to produce limited quantities of parts quickly and economically has proved to be a very valuable service for our customers. Our new CNC Machining Center features in-machine Renishaw part and tool probes, full conversational control with DXF import capability, a 10,000-rpm spindle, and large-capacity 31.5” x 20.9” x 20.1” xyz travel.

When combined with our quick-turnaround Hitachi Seiki Hitec-Turn 23SIII CNC Lathe, these machines provide the perfect solution for your low-quantity and fast-delivery precision machining requirements. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Testing

As a part of our ongoing drive to improve and augment the value stream in our assembly and testing department, PR Machine Works has recently installed a custom-designed flow bench for hydraulic and pneumatic testing. Our new flow bench offers fast and reliable hydrostatic testing up to 2,500 psi, performance and leak testing to 2,500 psi for hydraulic and 600 psi for pneumatic, as well as precise rate-of-flow measurements for a variety of applications. Our new leak and flow testing capabilities are just the latest addition to a growing list of products and services available under one roof at PR Machine Works.

A New, Heavy-Duty Horizontal Machining Center

PR Machine Works has purchased a new Toyoda FH550SX Horizontal Machining Center to expand our heavy-duty machining capacity. This new CNC machine tool features a 2-pallet automatic pallet changer, 2,362-ipm rapid traverse, and a #50 taper, 40-hp, 6,000-rpm spindle with 443 ft-lbs of torque for heavy cutting on any material including castings and forgings. With a full 4th axis, a 1,760-lbs maximum workload and a work envelope of 33.5” dia x 45.0 high, our new FH550SX is built to handle your most demanding precision machining requirements quickly and efficiently, saving you time and money where it really counts.

PR Machine Works Adds Plasma Cutting

PR Machine Works has added a new AKS CNC Accu-Kut Hy-Definition Plasma Cutting System. This high-tech, super-accurate, USA-built machine can accommodate ferrous and non-ferrous metal plates up to 72” wide x 120” long and up to 2.50” in thickness. Using our new plasma cutting system we can cut practically any configuration with +-.005” repeatability and virtually no recast layer; and the advanced parts-nesting software guarantees maximum material usage with minimal drops. PR Machine Works is proud to offer this state-of-the-art technology to augment our precision machining and fabrication operations, and provide increased efficiency and cost savings to our customers. PR Machine Increases Horizontal Capacity

PR Machine Works is pleased to announce the acquisition of a Mori Seiki NH4000 DCG Horizontal Machining Center. This state-of-the-art machine tool features a 22” x 22” x 24.8” machining capacity, full 4th axis, dual pallets, a 60-tool automatic tool changer, and a 14,000-rpm spindle. The NH4000 is a machine designed for production. This substantial increase in our capacity allows PR Machine to cut more chips in less time; increasing our efficiency and lowering costs and lead times for our customers. PR Machine Works Returns to the Track

Once again, Team PR is sponsoring the Autosport Development #21 GTO GT race car driven by Stu Hayner. “This is our fourth year as a sponsor,” says Mark Romanchuk, “and we wanted to do something special.” So the race team visited PR Machine Works the day before the race and we pulled out all the stops. Our employees and guests feasted on summer fare including brats, dogs, burgers and beans; and got to see the race car up close and meet the Autosport Development team.

Autosport Development is the first team to develop the Pontiac GTO for road racing and competes in the SPEED World Challenge GT Series. Team PR is proud to be a continuing part of this winning team.
